I just learnt something of great impact during my cell group. In the Full Flame video, the narrator said something like that:
We are all 'zeros' and God is 1. Zero is nothing on its own but when placed against 1, it becomes 10. A value is now attached to it. When you add more zeros, the value simply increase. So it does not matter if you are the last 'zero' to be called in because the value becomes greater the later you join the line.
The take home lesson is hence to be dependent on God and that one has to be humble, to view yourself as 'zero' and only God gives value to one.
That served as a timely reminder for me- to be humble and be a '0' and not even a '0.1'.

God will make a way
Where there seems to be no way
He works in ways we cannot see
He will make a way for me
He will be my guide
Hold me closely to His side
With love and strength
For each new day
He will make a way

+ Have faith. Trust in the Lord. He will heal. +
Everyone needs compassion,
Love that's never failing;
Let mercy fall on me.
Everyone needs forgiveness,
The kindness of a Saviour;
The Hope of nations.
Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
He is Mighty to save.
Forever, Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.
So take me as You find me,
All my fears and failures,
Fill my life again.
I give my life to follow
Everything I believe in,
Now I surrender.
My Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
He is Mighty to save.
Forever, Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.
Shine your light and let the whole world see,
We're singing for the glory of the risen King...Jesus (x2)

Happy Easter! :)
It's week 13 this coming week! Finally!
2 presentations, 2 tests and 2 reports due and I'm DONE with year 3! How old I have grown in these few weeks from the consecutive late nights either at project meetings or doing up reports and powerpoint slides. So much for my slack sem. Oh wells. I'm so glad it's coming to an end! But before that, I think I have great trouble finding time to study for my tests!!! :(
I think I'm really getting old.
Lethargic. I don't feel like doing ANYTHING. Or is it pre- monday blues?
Think I'll sleep at 10pm tonight.

Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like you have loved me
Break my heart from what breaks yours
Everything I am for your kingdoms cause
As I go from nothing to
Eternity

Mid term break came and past. Back to school again tmr. And very soon, 2 more months later, I would have completed 3 years of uni life!
This recess week was probably the first time in these 3 years that I had so few project meetings and felt rather free actually! I only had 2 meetings and 1 mid term test to study for. Several term papers to complete but I only managed to finish one due to my formidable skills of procrastination. Hopefully I can finish the other by this week. The next half of the sem is not going to be as carefree with all my projects and reports due plus CP coming into full swing I suppose. But oh wells, God will make a way :) Think it's time I put in more effort as well I guess.
Life's been pretty good :) My mum has been stuffing me with food, my grandma is healthy and strong again, school work is manageable, friends are awesome, enjoying teaching tuition more as well. And seems like all my close friends graduated or graduating this sem has found a job despite the bad economy. Thank God for all! :) Ohs, except that Liverpool lost yesterday haha but that's beside the point.
Yes. Time to start editing my project report! Happy working and schooling again everyone! :)

I had a great 22nd :)
Thanks EVERYONE for the surprises, presents, cakes and wishes! I really feel so blessed! :) Thank God for bringing me all these wonderful friends from church, school and exchange!
One year older. I used to be really excited about birthdays. When I was in Sec school, 2 weeks before my bday I will be reminding all my friends about it. Haha how childish now that I think of it! But seems like as I grow older, bday is no longer that significant to me. I definitely still feel happy receiving all the well wishes and presents, but it just seems like it's not such a big affair after all. Sometimes I wonder whether there will be one day that I do not receive a single wish from any of my friends. I HOPE NOT! That will be so lonely and sad. Haha!
Off to bed soon! Once again million thanks to everyone! God bless! :)
A song to share:)
Thank You Lord
I come before you today
And there's just one thing that I want to say
Thank you lord
Thank you lord
For all you've given to me
For all the blessings that I cannot see
Thank you lord
Thank you lord
**With a grateful heart
With a song of praise
With an outstretch arm
I will bless your name
Thank you lord
I just wanna thank you lord
Thank you lord
I just wanna thank you lord
Thank you lord
For all you've done in my life
You took my darkness and gave me your light
Thank you lord
Thank you lord
You took my sin and my shame
You took my sickness and healed all my pain
Thank you lord
Thank you lord
Yes indeed, thank you Lord!

Blessed CNY everyone! :)
Visiting is not really fun except for the angbaos. I think CNY is a time for the adults to show off, comparing from cars to their kids. Sigh. So superficial. Hate it!
CNY makes me think of how we celebrated CNY in norway last year. No festive mood at all except in the few kitchens of Hatleberg. Our first big feast for the 10 of us :) Awww miss exchange!!!
I haven't studied anything at all except read one chapter of biz policy since last week. My free days all went to editing loreal slides, slacking and helping my mom do stuff. Sigh. SO much to catch up with but again I'm procastinating. Shall leave it till wed, after cny. Somehow I'll find a way to read the chapters before next week classes. Hopefully!

School has started! Second week actually but I skipped the first week for the Taiwan trip with ling :) Taiwan was goooood! Just too cold though. Hahs. Glad to see wenda again! And lings was a great traveling buddy :)
Quite a lot of readings to catch up with. And I have 3 days week this sem so essentially my thurs and fri are quite free, for now. Lazy to get started as usual though! zzzzz I'm so free now that I dunno wad I should do. Anything but start reading my textbooks.
I suddenly miss Norway badly again. Maybe the 'dunno what to do' feeling made me nostalgic. haha!
Okiex, happy chinese new year people! :)

So close. Just so close.
It's painful. Really still is. Lord, that was a harsh punishment for complacency. Heal our pains Lord.
Guess I'm not cut out for competitive sports after all. Sorry team.

Happy New Year!! :)
Spent my countdown in church last night. First time doing that and it does feel pretty good to have a silent countdown, welcoming the new year in God's presence :)
So soon, it has been one year since I left on exchange! We were trying to fight our jet lag while watching Remember the Titans on my laptop in my room last year, where Kaiyi, Bear and I were trying to last till 12midnight so we can countdown and see the fireworks. But all gave up and went to sleep before 12. Hahs. Literally slept through new year of 2008!
Well, 2008 had been a really great year! And needless to say, it's cos of exchange, which is really the best time of my school life so far. Exchange made me drew closer to God and also to my family. Made an effort to have dinner with my parents each week after I came back from Norge. Been going to church and PCG regularly and became a lot closer to my church friends as well :) Just a slight regret that I have not been doing my quiet time with God very regularly when I was back.
So new year resolutions that everyone has been asking me.
1) Spend more time with God, family and friends. Next sem no more touch rugby for me and should be only teaching 2 tuition kids. So hopefully I'll have more free time!
2) Finish the new testament next year and do my QT regularly.
3) Serve God!
Right. IVP starts tmr. I pray God deliver me and my team through all the matches! Amen!
Blessed new year to all! :)

Last year this time, I just arrived in Oslo, starting the best six months of my school life so far! Nostalgia!! :(
This year this time, I'm rushing the report for Loreal brandstorm submission -_- Oh wells!
2 more days to the start of IVP, one more week to the end of internship, touch rugby and also one more week to holiday in Taiwan! :)
Have a blessed New Year everyone!

I wish I took all non-examinable modules. SIGH. First paper in one week's time.. And have not been studying VERY hard so far. Starting to feel some anxiety! Complacency kills, min!
Okiex. Time to hit the library tmr. LIBS. Hahs.

Never ending projects and report writing.
Argh. Give me a break please.
In Al's words, I'm a tired emo nemo now.

Finally it's mid term break! Had a really busy week and I'm so glad it's coming to an end. Managed to survive the week in school and tmr is the next big challenge. My touch university games competition. Pray that we will have comfortable weather tomorrow and each and everyone of us in the team can play to our best, individually and as a team. And also I pray that for every minute I am on the field, I will be able to play in a manner that will leave me without any regrets.
I will catch all balls. I will complete all moves. I will dive to try and touch. I will defend well and not let anyone pass through me. I can do it. Yes I can.
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. Amen!
NUS woosh!

Was looking at Henri's photos of Bergen on FB. I MISS BERGEN!!! Especially now that the soccer season is up again, I miss the good old times where I can watch every single Liverpool match on big screen in the reception with dino and wenda. Plus the timing was just right as well, do not have to stay up late to catch the matches. BAH. I miss those days! :(
I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST!!!! :) :) :)
By God's grace, I managed to pass my re-test with just 4 demerit points! Thank God for blessing me with the peace and calm I wanted. Managed to do everything in the circuit perfectly well. Such a miracle! Was still striking poles and curbs during my warm up. PRAISE THE LORD!!
School's starting this week! And internship is ending this week as well. Time to get back to the busy NUS school life. Hope this will be a good sem for me! The yew brother is coming back this wed as well. Haven't seen him for 8 months already! He gonna be pushing me to study hard this sem. Think I'll have no space to breathe when he's back. Traumatising! Hahs!
Happy National Day people! :)

I'm so tired!!! Went for a 45mins run just now and feeling very sleepy now.
Life is pretty much back to normal. Busy busy busy. Internship takes up all my weekdays, driving lesson, trainings and tuition take up my weekday nights and more tuition takes up my sat. I have 3 kids to teach this sem and teaches 2 on sat. So at least half the day is gone. Yes, I'm crazy to take up so many obligations I know. But guess I just find it hard to turn down people's request. And church on sunday :) Spiritual and mental boost for the end/ start of each week!
So, sorry friends for always delaying the meet up sessions and always not turning up for the gatherings. Sorry Ver, Tim etc for pang sehing the bbq again!
Can't do much these days because of my internship. Finding it hard to wake up every morning at 7am, so I have to sleep by 11pm every night! That explains my not being able to go out on weekday nights! And not really keen on cabbing home late at night also. My sengkang village quite far arh, always cost a bomb! Plus recently there was a notice saying there were some strangers loitering around my block, so quite scared of going home alone at night now!
Alrightey! Wish me luck for my driving exam this week! Hope I pass it this time round!
